In 2006, CSSC had finished manufacturing 103 new ships, 6.02million dwt in total, ranked 3thd among the worldwide shipbuilding groups as estimated. It had won new ship orders worth more than RMB100trillion ($12.8trillion in US dollars), 22.18million dwt in total, accounted for 56% of the total gained by Chinese shipyards, and 4.97million dwt more than the total gained among China in 2005. By the end of 2006, CSSC had 30million dwt of new ship orders on hand, exceeding RMB150trillion ($19.21trillion in US dollars
